General Services leads MSEUF workshop on network cabling and security system
Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation held a two-day Information Network Cabling with CCTV and FDAS Training on Oct. 11-12, at the College of Engineering Conference Room in Lucena City to enhance staff expertise for smart campus initiatives.
The General Services Department, led by Director Ariel Nicolas, spearheaded the workshop in collaboration with the Information and Communications Technology Department, University Laboratories, and the College of Engineering faculty.
“This training is a step toward our vision of a sustainable, tech-enabled campus,” Vice President for Administration Dario Opistan said in his opening remarks. Vice President for Finance Carlito Rodriguez also visited the event to express administrative support for professional growth.
Industry experts from RSPOT Solutions Inc. and Technoclear guided participants through structured cabling, data center fundamentals, smart-campus technologies, and IoT applications, with hands-on sessions on cable termination, copper and fiber optic testing, CCTV setup, and fire detection system installation.
At the close of the workshop, RSPOT Solutions donated CCTV materials to MSEUF to bolster training and academic use.
This initiative reflects MSEUF’s mission to provide transformative, outcomes-oriented education by empowering staff through practical, industry-based training.
