The General Services Department is a vital part of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation, dedicated to maintaining the proper condition of the University’s buildings, classrooms, laboratories, and offices. It provides a wide range of services including carpentry, electrical work, painting, electromechanical tasks, water and utility management, sanitation, and pest control.
The department is responsible for both preventive and corrective maintenance, as well as the construction and improvement of the University’s Physical Plant and Facilities. It also supervises outsourced janitorial services, grounds maintenance, and skilled labor to ensure quality and efficiency.
The department responds promptly to requests from the University community for utilities, equipment fabrication, furniture painting or repair, and the maintenance or replacement of electrical, plumbing, and other fixtures.
It supports students, faculty, employees, and administrators by providing the skilled personnel—such as electricians, carpenters, and maintenance workers—needed to carry out various University activities efficiently.
The General Services Department also initiates and supports the University’s sustainability goals, particularly in the area of energy efficiency and conservation, helping to promote a greener and more sustainable campus environment.
Additionally, the department helps train and educate stakeholders on the proper use and simple preventive maintenance of University equipment, furniture, and fixtures to extend their lifespan.
To achieve these goals, the department continuously works to develop the skills of its personnel, ensuring they perform their duties effectively and efficiently.
