Enverga University ranks No. 1 in PH for clean energy efforts — THE Impact Rankings 2025

Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation ranked No. 1 in the Philippines and placed in the 101–200 global bracket for Affordable and Clean Energy (SDG 7) in the 2025 Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings, released June 18.

The university entered the rankings for the first time this year and submitted data showing its efforts to reduce energy consumption, promote low-carbon use and support renewable energy development.

Enverga University reported its total energy use, energy use from low-carbon sources and energy use density based on university floor space. It implemented energy-efficient building renovations, upgraded old facilities, and launched a carbon and emissions reduction process.

The University identified areas of energy waste, applied a divestment policy for carbon-intensive investments and adopted a 100 percent renewable energy pledge.

It provided energy efficiency services to local industries and supported clean energy policy development. The University also worked with the local community to promote energy conservation and awareness and assisted low-carbon innovation projects.

Enverga University also ranked 401–600 globally for Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions (SDG 16), and 1001–1500 for Good Health and Well-Being (SDG 3), Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8), and Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17).

The Impact Rankings measured more than 2,300 universities worldwide based on contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
