Expanding internship, career and employment pathways in the technology sector, Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation and Open iT Philippines formalized an institutional partnership through a memorandum of agreement signing on Sept. 8 at the Open iT Philippines office in Lucena City.
The agreement aims to establish structured internship programs and career opportunities for MSEUF students and graduates while creating avenues for joint campus events, workshops and other academe-industry initiatives that connect classroom learning with professional practice.
The MSEUF delegation included Vice President for External Relations Celso Jaballa; College of Computing and Multimedia Studies Dean Rodrigo Belleza Jr.; Prof. Susan Cabañeros De Castro of CCMS; Maria Isabel Granada, head of CSCJPS; and Robyn Anne Castillo of CSCJPS.
Representatives of Open iT included CEO and Founder Eistein Fosli, HR Manager Faye Flancia, Recruitment Associates Allie Gambito and Shar Dominguez, Associate Graphic Designer Ruth Labitigan, and Research Director Rod Julius Zamora.
Through the partnership, MSEUF and Open iT will explore opportunities for internships, career placement, workshops and collaborative activities that can expose students to current practices and workforce requirements in the technology industry.
The collaboration also strengthens the University’s industry linkages within Lucena City while providing students and graduates with additional opportunities to develop professional competencies, gain workplace exposure and prepare for technology-related careers.
The partnership supported Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation’s commitment to outcomes-oriented and industry-responsive education by connecting students and graduates with professional learning and employment opportunities. It also reflected the core values of Excellence, Service and Unity through academe-industry collaboration that strengthens career readiness and professional development.
