MSEUF Dancesport Team shines at Nat'l PRISAA '24

Competing against top talents from across the nation, the Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) Dancesport Team, representing Region IV-A Calabarzon achieved remarkable successes at the National PRISAA Games 2024, Legazpi City Convention Center, Jul. 22.

Gian Franco Hernandez and Cairistiona Catriona Surio dazzled the judges in the Standard Category, earning a silver medal. In the same category, Filip Zander Hernandez and Frances Heleana Buta showcased their exceptional prowess, securing 5th place finish among 24 qualifying couples from 15 regions.

The Latin category witnessed equally thrilling performances, with Patrick Loriz Pineda and Krissom Ariem Palima capturing the bronze medal. Demonstrating their competitive edge, Kurt Vian Bamba and Micah Teoxon advanced to the semi-final qualifiers, outshining 23 couple entries from across the country.

Coach Lizel Villadiego, adviser of the MSEUF Banyuhay Dance Troupe guided the Dancesport Team, where they also received support from the Office of Sports and Cultural Director Darios Virrey and Vice President for External Relations Celso D. Jaballa, who were both present at the event, along with Mr. Hubert Loresto, Vocal Solo coach, and designated contingent of athletes, coaches, and parents.

"This outstanding performance of the MSEUF Dancesport Team not only highlights their dedication and talent but also underscores the university's commitment to excellence in sports and cultural endeavors," VP Jaballa remarked.
