Enverga University joins AUN-QA associate members’ roster
Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation formally received the letter of acceptance as an official Associate Member of the ASEAN University Network–Quality Assurance (AUN-QA), March 11.
According to Dr. Choltis Dhirathiti, executive director of AUN-QA, MSEUF has fulfilled all the requirements of AUN-QA associate membership and has been accepted by the AUN-QA Council on Jan. 8.
MSEUF joined the other 31 AUN-QA members from the Philippines and 178 other universities from the ASEAN region.
Assoc. Prof. Rodrigo Belleza Jr., dean of the College of Computing and Multimedia Studies, and Director Leah Salas of the Office of Quality Improvement and the Corporate Planning and Development Officer collaborated with the University management and administrators to comply with AUN-QA requirements.
Assoc. Prof. Belleza and Dir. Salas are part of the 50 AUN-QA assessors from the Philippines, and 159 assessors from all over the ASEAN countries.
AUN-QA conducts quality assessments for higher education Institutions that are members of its network. These assessments include the AUN-QA Programme Assessment and the AUN-QA Institutional Assessment. It also conducts other activities including capacity building, outreach programs, and knowledge management and enabling systems for its members and resource persons.
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) met in MSEUF’s membership in the ASEAN University Network–Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) are:
- Quality Education (SDG 4): By becoming an Associate Member of AUN-QA, Enverga University is committed to enhancing the quality of education it provides. This aligns with SDG 4, which aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
- Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure (SDG 9): Enverga University's involvement with AUN-QA signifies its dedication to improving the quality of its infrastructure and fostering innovation within its educational programs. SDG 9 focuses on building resilient infrastructure, promoting inclusive and sustainable industrialization, and fostering innovation.
- Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17): Membership in AUN-QA involves collaboration with other universities in the ASEAN region to enhance quality assurance in higher education. This aligns with SDG 17, which emphasizes the importance of partnerships and collaboration in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
