MSEUF Lucena Wildcats roar to victory in 2nd Chairman's Cup
University Chairman Wilfrido Enverga officially opened the 2nd Chairman’s Cup: Inter-Campus Basketball Tournament on the first day of Enverga University's 77th Founding Anniversary Celebration, Feb 5, at the University Gymnasium.
Participating campuses, including the MSEUF-Lucena Wildcats, MSEUFI-Candelaria Jaguars, MSEAFI-Sampaloc Lynx, MSEUF-San Antonio Sphynx, MSEUF-Calauag Bobcats, and MSEUF-Catanauan Panthers, showcased their best athletes in the basketball tournament.
The Lucena Wildcats seized the championship over defending Candelaria Jaguars with a nine-point advantage, 68-59, in the tournament's championship game. The Most Valuable Player was Peterenz Andry Madridano of the Wildcats.
Candelaria Jaguars and Sampaloc Lynx were first runner-up and second runner-up, respectively.
In the tune-up volleyball matches, the Lucena Wildcats emerged victorious twice in both the women's and men's divisions over the Candelaria Jaguars.
During the exhibition game for elementary boys, the Lucena Wildcats secured a victory against the Sampaloc Lynx, with Juriz Martin Villasin of the Lucena Wildcats notching the most valuable player award.
Vice President for Administration Dario Opistan, Vice President for External Relations Celso Jaballa, Vice President for Finance Carlito Rodriguez, and University Sports and Cultural Relations Director Darios Virrey assisted Chairman Enverga during the awarding ceremony, on Feb 8.
Heads, directors, representatives, and employees from the different departments and affiliate schools of Enverga University in the Lucena City Main Campus, Candelaria, San Antonio, Sampaloc, Catanauan, and Calauag also attended the championship games and the awarding ceremonies.
