Envergan Cadets secure 4th place overall in ROTC Games '24 Nat'l Championship

Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation secured 4th place overall out of 159 participating higher education institutions at the ROTC Games 2024 National Championship with an impressive medal haul of 4 gold, 3 silver, and 4 bronze, held at Cavite State University - Indang, Aug. 19-24.

In swimming, Althea Gem Villapeña led the charge with two gold medals in the 200-meter individual medley and 100-meter breaststroke, alongside a silver in the 200-meter backstroke and two bronze medals in the 100-meter and 50-meter backstroke. Jasmine Del Moro added to the success with a gold in the 200-meter fly and two bronze medals in the 50-meter fly and freestyle events.

Ezekiel Marino dominated the chess category, securing three gold medals in individual rapid, team standard, and team rapid, along with a silver in individual standard. In arnis, Henriquel Jalla earned a silver in the lightweight padded stick category, while Francesca Meckaella Agawin and Myko Lava advanced to the elimination rounds.

In athletics, Luke Liane Salamante placed 6th in the men's long jump, while Hazel Anne Ayala and Kaye Ann Atienza finished 13th in the women's long jump and 6th in women's shot put, respectively.

The university’s volleyball team, composed of Reyzenette Capistrano, Wanda Quilapio, Macy Aquino, Janille Adlin Hermo, Maxene Pabellosa, Cherry Mae Asong, Lennoel Camba, and Clarise Mae Abanica, placed 6th in the competition.
