Enverga U welcomes PAFALEN, hosts benchmarking activity to enhance leadership development programs
The Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) welcomed representatives from the Philippine Air Force Aviation Leadership and Excellence Nexus (PAFALEN) under the Air Education, Training and Doctrine Command (AETDC), and hosted a benchmarking activity aimed to enhance leadership development programs, held at DTYES Alumni Building, MSEUF, Lucena City, Sept. 23.
During the benchmarking session, the two institutions discussed several key topics including MSEUF’s flagship leadership programs, initiatives for first-time managers and high-potential employees, and the role of technology and blended learning in leadership development.
PAFALEN, which focuses on developing precise, agile, and focused leaders, recognized MSEUF’s commitment to shaping leadership potential within its academic community.
MAJ Vexon P. Salvador PAF of PAFALEN expressed appreciation for the partnership.
"The collaboration with Enverga University is invaluable as we seek to refine our leadership development programs. The insights we gained today will be crucial in enhancing the Air Force’s approach to training future leaders." MAJ Salvador stated.
LTC Floreto I. Solano PAF (GSC) (RES), Deputy Wing Commander, 3rd Air Force Wing Reserve; MAJ Vexon P. Salvador PAF, Director for Operations; CPT Jamicah Ann C. Acojedo PAF, Head of Plans and Programs Department; 1LT Leonardo G. Visaya Jr. PAF, Head of Research and Evaluation Department; Sgt Rexon M. Anapio PAF, Admin Specialist; and Ms. Abegail M. Maranan Civ HR, Civilian Supervisor of PAFALEN, attended the benchmarking on behalf of the PAFALEN.
On behalf of MSEUF, attendees included Mr. Dario R. Opistan, Vice President for Administration; Dr. Maria Sylvia S. Avila, Director of the Human Resource Department; Dr. Jose B. Tan Jr., Director of the ICT Department; Dean Rodrigo C. Belleza Jr., Dean of the College of Computing and Multimedia Studies; Engr. Roselyn A. Maano, Director of the Research, Publication, Utilization, and Innovation Center; Dr. Milagrosa A. Lawas, Director, the Community Relations Department, and Ms. Leah T. Salas, Corporate Planning and Development Office.
Dr. Benilda N. Villenas, Officer-in-Charge, Office of the President delivered the opening remarks, while the closing remarks were delivered by VP Dario R. Opistan.
"This benchmarking session highlighted the shared commitment of both organizations to leadership excellence and mutual learning, with future collaborations anticipated to continue strengthening leadership capabilities." VP Opistan stated.
The Banyuhay Dance Troupe also performed a lively intermission number, adding a cultural highlight to the event, while Ms. Maria Isabel D. Granada emceed the program.
- The activity also aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education, as both institutions focused on improving educational methods and leadership training to foster growth and capacity-building. Additionally, the collaboration supports SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, emphasizing the importance of cross-sector partnerships in achieving development objectives.
