Enverga University marks Founder’s 45th death anniversary with Mass, wreath-laying ceremony

The Office of Student Affairs and Services organized a Mass and wreath-laying ceremony on at the University Gymnasium and Founder’s Monument to commemorate the 45th death anniversary of Dr. Manuel Enverga Sr., the founding father of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation, June 15.
Rev. Fr. Ferdinand Maaño, University chaplain, led the Mass attended by students, employees and faculty members who gathered to honor the life, service and enduring legacy of the university founder.
In his homily, Rev. Fr. Maaño likened Founder’s vision to the mabolo fruit, whose seeds grow and bear life for others.
“Just like the mabolo fruit, our founder’s thoughts, plans and desires have made a lot of Quezonians happy and fulfilled,” Maano said.
He added that Enverga’s work continued to grow like a massive tree, producing generations of learners, professionals and servant leaders who carry the founder’s vision in their communities.
Naila Leveriza and her husband, Dennis Leveriza, joined the Envergan community in the commemorative activity. Students, faculty members and employees also took part in the wreath-laying ceremony at the Founder’s Monument as a gesture of remembrance and gratitude.
The ceremony highlighted the University’s continuing commitment to preserve the ideals of Enverga, whose vision helped shape an institution dedicated to instruction, research and community service.
Through the annual commemoration, the Envergan community reaffirmed its duty to honor the founder’s legacy by sustaining the values of Mindfulness, Service, Excellence, Unity and Fortitude in campus life and public service.
The activity reflected MSEUF’s mission to provide education rooted in service, excellence and community development. By remembering the life and works of Dr. Manuel Enverga Sr., the university strengthened its shared identity as an institution committed to producing graduates who lead with competence, professionalism and social responsibility.
