Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) conducted the qualifying examination for the Enverga Scholarship Grant at the University Gymnasium, drawing 567 applicants and 443 examinees seeking tuition assistance and academic support, May 14.

The Office of Scholarship, Endowment, Job Placement and Alumni Relations (OSEJPAR), together with the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS), led the examination for students applying for the Enverga Scholarship Grant.

OSEJPAR Director Maria Isabel Granada said the scholarship program reflects the University’s continuing commitment to help deserving students pursue quality education.

“Through the Enverga Scholarship Grant, we hope to open more opportunities for academically excellent students to continue their education and realize their goals,” Dir. Granada said.

“This program affirms the University’s commitment to recognize hard work, perseverance and the potential of every learner.” Dir. Granda added.

OSAS officer-in-charge Marco Rey Casiño said the activity also supports the University’s student-centered approach to education.

“The strong turnout of applicants shows the desire of many young learners to become part of the Enverga community,” Casiño said. “OSAS remains committed to supporting programs that promote student welfare, access and success.”

The grant supports academically qualified incoming students from the Basic Education Department and college. Incoming Grade 7 and Grade 11 students from public or private schools may qualify for the scholarship if they ranked first or second in a graduating class with at least 40 students. Rank 1 students, or valedictorians, may receive a 100 percent tuition discount, while Rank 2 students, or salutatorians, may receive a 50 percent tuition discount.

For incoming first-year college students, applicants must be senior high school graduates with High Honors or Highest Honors. They must also submit a principal’s certification of honors bearing the school head’s signature and school seal, and pass the qualifying examination.

The Top 10 examinees will receive a 100 percent discount on tuition, miscellaneous, laboratory and auxiliary fees, valid for four years or for the full duration of their program. Other successful applicants may receive either a 100 percent or 50 percent tuition discount for one year.

To retain the grant, scholars must not receive grades lower than 2.0, incomplete marks or failing grades. Top 10 scholars must maintain a GPA between 1.000 and 1.300.

Through the scholarship program, Enverga University continues to provide opportunities for deserving and high-achieving learners to pursue quality education and grow as future professionals and leaders.

The activity reflects Enverga University’s commitment to Service and Excellence by helping deserving students gain access to quality education. It also supports the University’s goal of producing graduates with research-based knowledge, leadership skills, professionalism and a strong sense of social responsibility.
