Enverga University partners with DTI, Wadhwani Foundation; launches Innovation Challenge Year 3

Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation through the Research Publication, Incubation, Utilization, and Innovation Center (RPIUC) officially launched the third year of the Enverga University Innovation Challenge on March 26, 2026, bringing together more than 250 students and faculty members to strengthen entrepreneurial thinking and prepare future innovators for the challenge ahead.

The kick-off program opened with messages from Vice President Carlito Rodriguez and Julieta Tadiosa, provincial director of the Department of Trade and Industry Quezon, who highlighted the role of innovation in building resilient communities and creating solutions that respond to real needs.

Participants also drew inspiration from Ma. Alyssa Tomagan of the Bureau of Policy Research and Innovation of DTI, who underscored the value of innovation, rapid growth and courage in building successful startups. She encouraged students to turn their ideas into concrete solutions and reminded them that support systems are available to help them develop their concepts into viable ventures.

Lucrecio Delgado Jr., country director of Wadhwani Foundation Philippines, challenged the audience to embrace experimentation and learn quickly from both progress and setbacks. He said an entrepreneurial mindset rooted in adaptability, boldness and persistence could turn simple ideas into meaningful impact.

The event set the tone for the next phase of the challenge as students begin building stronger foundations in innovation and prepare to present their ideas on the pitching stage. It also reflected the university’s continuing effort to cultivate creativity, collaboration and problem-solving among Envergans.

MSEUF extended its gratitude to Wadhwani Foundation Philippines and the DTI Quezon Provincial Office for supporting the initiative and helping guide the next generation of innovators.

The Enverga University Innovation Challenge continued to serve as a platform for students to explore ideas with purpose and develop solutions that could shape communities and industries in the future.

This initiative reflected MSEUF’s commitment to transformative and outcomes-oriented education by giving students real opportunities to develop ideas, test solutions and think like future leaders. It also embodied the university’s core values of Excellence, Fortitude and Service by encouraging Envergans to create innovations that respond to community needs and national development goals.
