RPIUC, PSITES launch 'Tech Talk Series' on capstone innovation

The Research Publication Incubation and Utilization Center (RPIUC) of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation, in partnership with the Philippine Society of Information Technology Educators – Students (PSITES), launched a two-part Tech Talk Series on “Innovations and Tools for Capstone Success” on Feb. 14 and 21.

The series gathered third-year students from the College of Computing and Multimedia Studies for sessions on capstone project development. Speakers included Chester Ayala and Genrev Gabriel Rodriguez, who discussed emerging technology trends, project ideation strategies, and practical tools for prototyping, collaboration, and data management.

Students learned about agile project management tools, cloud-based development environments, and data visualization methods. They also received feedback on project ideas through Q&A sessions.

“This activity introduces our students to approaches and tools that can help them navigate their capstone projects,” Rodriguez said.

“By linking theory with practice, we aim to prepare them for both academic requirements and industry expectations.”

Organizers said the initiative supported Sustainable Development Goals 4 (Quality Education) by strengthening academic training, 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) by encouraging the use of emerging technologies, and 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by fostering collaboration between academic institutions and professional organizations.
