MSEUF strengthens global learning ties through 'Coursera Executive Connect'
Executives and representatives from Coursera, one of the world’s leading online learning platforms, visited the Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation for the Coursera Executive Connect event, Nov. 22.
Held at the Executive Office, the meeting focused on advancing student learning, soft skills development, and institutional collaboration through Coursera’s global educational resources.
The visit aimed to strengthen ties between MSEUF and Coursera as both parties explored opportunities to expand access to micro-credential courses, job-relevant certifications, and career-boosting programs that can support Envergans in becoming globally competitive.
Organized by the Learning Development Center, headed by Director Reina Pasumbal, the event was attended by key University officials including VP for Finance Carlito Rodriguez, VP for External Relations Celso Jaballa, and Dr. Claudia Odette Ayala, Assistant to the VP for Academics and Research. Assoc. Prof. Donabelle Hernandez, Department Chair of the College of Computing and Multimedia Studies, represented Dean Rodrigo Belleza Jr.
Coursera’s Head of Asia Sales, Mr. Eklavya Bhave, personally met with the MSEUF executive officers before returning to Singapore.
In the meeting, he emphasized Coursera’s commitment to supporting universities in developing job-ready graduates by equipping them with both technical skills and essential soft skills through globally recognized learning paths.
While brief, the Coursera Executive Connect session highlighted powerful possibilities for curricular integration, upskilling, and international certification access for MSEUF students and faculty.
The event also aligns with SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, underscoring the role of strategic partnerships in creating equitable and future-ready learning opportunities.
As the University continues to pursue academic innovation and global recognition, this collaboration marks another important step toward realizing MSEUF’s vision of producing competent, globally engaged, and sustainability-driven graduates.
