HRD conducts annual merit pay deliberation for employees
Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) held its annual deliberation of merit pay for non-teaching personnel for Academic Year 2023-2024 through Zoom, Sept. 4.
The deliberation was spearheaded by Dr. Benilda N. Villenas, Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of the Office of the President, alongside key committee members Ms. Amalia E. Delos Reyes, OIC of the Office of the Vice President for Administration, and Ms. Sonia S. Durante, representing the Union Sector.
Department heads also participated actively to ensure a comprehensive evaluation and discussion of their respective staff's merit pay.
The discussions centered around the performance evaluations, which had been distributed to department heads prior to the meeting, allowing them to discuss the results with their staff in advance.
This transparent approach is in line with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, which advocates for fair wages, safe working environments, and the promotion of employee well-being and professional growth.
During the session, Dr. Maria Sylvia S. Avila, Director of the Human Resource Department (HRD), presented the merit pay allocations based on the performance ratings of non-teaching personnel. This system of recognition promotes fairness and inclusivity, aligning with SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities by ensuring that compensation is awarded based on objective and equitable criteria.
The merit pay incentive also encourages non-teaching staff to maintain high levels of dedication and productivity, which in turn enhances the University’s overall operational effectiveness. By recognizing and rewarding the hard work of staff, MSEUF strengthens its capability to provide quality education and services, supporting SDG 4: Quality Education.
MSEUF remains committed to fostering a workplace culture that values the contributions of its personnel, encouraging mutual respect and excellence, and reinforcing its role as an institution of higher learning dedicated to sustainable development
