Reyes’ 'Indigenous Arts' paper bags 3rd place in University-wide research colloquium

Neil Ashley Reyes, a fourth-year Bachelor of Culture and Arts Education student, took the 3rd spot in the 14th Student Research Colloquium for the Basic Approach Category at the AEC Little Theater and EMRC Main, May 24.

Reyes’ research, titled “Impact of Cultural Influence on the Attitudes and Beliefs of Selected Grade 7 Students in Learning Indigenous Group Arts in the Philippines,” is an in-depth analysis of Grade 7 students’ attitudes and beliefs concerning indigenous group arts in the Philippines.

Moreover, the researcher set out to discover the various processes that influence students’ perceptions and participation in these culturally significant art styles.

This success aligns with the College of Education’s aim of developing empowered professionals who understand local, national, and global realities.

This shows Reyes’ academic competence and cultural sensitivity, which contributes to a more inclusive and internationally aware educational scene.
