CEd-CES joins Brigada Eskwela kick-off

Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) College of Education’s Community Extension Services (CEd-CES) and department organizations collaborated in this year’s Brigada Eskwela to assist Dalahican Elementary School, Mayao Crossing Elementary School, and Gulang-Gulang National High School in their preparation for the upcoming school year 2024-2025, July 22.

From donating school supplies to assisting in cleaning up classrooms, the CEd-CES has gone above and beyond to ensure that all students have access to additional academic support.

The CEd-CES and the department organizations, namely the Council of English Enthusiasts (CEE), Mathematics Society (MathSoc), A Group Harvesting Acquired Knowledge through Scientific Method (AGHAM), Lib.com, and the Society of Culture, Arts, and Physical Education (SCAPE), offered assistance in cleaning classrooms to the said schools.

Apart from this, through their collaboration, they also provided school supplies to elementary and high school learners.

Aside from CES and other organizations, volunteers also took part in this activity. "This volunteerism na tinatawag taught us the importance of taking initiatives rain or shine and also ‘yung importance of creating a clean and safe environment para sa mga bata at mga kaguruan na magbabalik eskwela," Shaira Luna, CES volunteer, stated.

"Small efforts and actions we can accumulate to create a big impact and change. Kaya thank you po sa opportunity CES sa pagsama and pag invite sa amin na magbigay tulong from different chosen schools," she added.

This one-week “Brigada Eskwela” kick-off program of the DepEd with the theme “Bayanihan Para Sa Matatag na Paaralan” is an annual activity undertaken in public schools a week before classes begin, where people volunteer to do clean-up and repairs to prepare the rooms for the beginning of the new school year.
