Web Content and Digital Engagement Office's Digital Content Creator Simon Romuel Uy trained 70 student leaders from accredited academic and non-academic organizations of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation during the Leadership Advancement Program and Services (LEAPS) on Jan. 9 at the University Library Seminar Hall, strengthening their skills in website management, report writing, social media promotion, and responsible digital communication.

Uy served as a resource speaker for the workshop organized by the Office of Student Organizations, which gathered student leaders for a session focused on the digitalization of organizational documents and information.

During the program, Uy shared practical insights on website management, basic report writing, and promotion strategies on social media. He also introduced participants to the university’s newly developed microsite, which will serve as the official platform for student organizations to publish news articles and updates.

Uy facilitated a hands-on training on news writing and website posting, guiding participants on content creation, responsible publishing practices, adherence to university standards, accuracy of information, and consistency in documentation.

As part of the workshop’s applied learning component, participating organizations produced news articles about their previous activities. The exercise helped student leaders strengthen their writing skills while promoting transparency and proper documentation of organizational initiatives.

The program concluded with the awarding of certificates to accredited student organizations in recognition of their contributions during the previous academic year. Citations were also given to outstanding and most active organizations.

“Through initiatives like LEAPS, our student leaders are not only empowered to lead their organizations well but also to communicate their work with accuracy, responsibility, and purpose,” Uy said during the training.

The workshop reflected Enverga University’s commitment to forming student leaders who are equipped with practical skills, professionalism, and a strong sense of accountability. By training organizations in responsible content creation and proper documentation, the activity advanced the university’s values of Excellence, Service, Mindfulness, Unity, and Fortitude.
