WCDEO wins top places in campus-wide fire safety reel contest

The Web Content and Digital Engagement Office (WCDEO) secured first and second place in Sustainability Department’s Fire Safety Reel Contest, with its entries emerging as the top winners among 13 submissions that promoted fire safety practices and emergency preparedness on campus, awarded April 7 at the DT Room of the CCJC Building.
The contest formed part of the University’s observance of Fire Prevention Month and carried the theme, “Obligasyon sa Bayan para sa Ligtas na Pamayanan.”
The first-place entry came from Digital Content Creator Simon Romuel Uy and Miss Enverga University 2026 Mia Ellise Poblete. Their reel earned the top spot and received a cash prize of P3,000, while the second-place entry came from Digital Content Creator Francess Faye Clar De Jesus and Miss Enverga University 2025 Tricia Caringal. Their reel received P2,000 after placing second in the competition.
“We are grateful for the recognition and happy that our work was able to support an important advocacy on campus,” Uy said. “More than the award, we wanted to create a reel that would remind everyone that fire safety is a shared responsibility.”
Poblete also emphasized the value of using digital content to inform the community.
“This contest gave us the chance to use creativity for a meaningful purpose,” Poblete said. “We hope our reel encouraged students and employees to stay alert, prepared and mindful of safety at all times.”
“We are thankful to be recognized in this contest and proud to contribute to spreading awareness about fire prevention,” De Jesus said. “It was fulfilling to create content that was both engaging and informative for the Envergan community.”
Caringal shared that the experience allowed them to turn an important message into a creative presentation.
“We enjoyed being part of this initiative because it showed how social media content can help educate people in simple yet effective ways,” Caringal said. “This recognition inspires us to continue creating purposeful content.”
The two winning reels from the office highlighted essential fire safety practices and emergency preparedness within the campus community. The results also showed the impact of creative digital storytelling in strengthening awareness, responsibility and preparedness among Envergans.
The achievement reflected the office’s continued commitment to producing relevant and meaningful content that informed and engaged the university community while supporting campus-wide advocacy efforts.
This achievement reflected Enverga University’s commitment to service, excellence and mindfulness by using digital content to promote campus safety and public awareness. It also showed how creativity and collaboration can support the university’s mission of forming responsible and socially aware members of the community.
