WCDE staff attends 'Atimonan Book Fair '24;' engages in 'Digital Marketing Hacks,' storytelling seminars

Simon Romuel Uy, Digital Content Creator of the Web Content and Digital Engagement Office (WCDEO) at Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF), attended the Atimonan Book Fair 2024 at Bulwagang Balagtas, Atimonan, Quezon, Aug. 4.

Organized by the Atimonan Historical Society and award-winning children’s book illustrator Pepot Atienza, the book fair brought together writers, artists, educators, and creatives in Quezon Province for a day of learning and cultural exchange.

During the Book Fair , Simon Romuel L. Uy joined a series of seminars that explored key areas of creative communication and cultural education.

These included Intro to Digital Marketing Hacks 2024 by Kein Chito, which tackled digital marketing strategies for creatives and small businesses; Scriptwriting 101 by Emmanuel Camara, which introduced the fundamentals of scriptwriting for both digital and live storytelling formats; Daigdig ng Kwento ang Kwento ng Daigdig by Dr. Marco Antonio Regalo Rodas, which emphasized the role of narratives in shaping cultural identity; and Kasaysayan: Saysay at Pagsasamadla by Dr. Xiao Chua, which focused on historical storytelling rooted in national and local heritage.

“These sessions gave me new perspectives on how to blend storytelling with digital engagement,” Uy shared.

“Being part of this event allowed me to learn not only from experts but also from fellow creatives who are passionate about using content to educate and inspire.” Uy added.

His participation in the book fair reflects MSEUF's support for staff development and its commitment to community and cultural engagement.
