Flaws in the Manual Accounting System: A Case of Jedrey Computer Center

Abstract

Jedrey Computer Center is a service-merchandising business owned by I.T professionals- Mr. and Mrs. Reyes. The researchers conducted a study on improving and enhancing the accounting system of Jedrey Computer Center to minimize and solve the problems that they encountered. The researchers, with the information gathered and being assessed and analyzed, they provided a proposed accounting system in detailed process to help the proponent derive the proper method of using the accounting system and to be able to manage their resources efficiently and effectively. They also used a descriptive-evaluative method to detect the inconsistencies in the recording of transactions, it is hereby recommended to use an improved accounting system, organizational chart, appropriate flowchart, an improved accounting practices and procedures, detailed chart of account and appropriate use of financial statements which sustain the effectiveness of the accounting system of Jedrey Computer Center that may lessen the errors that occurred in the business.
