Job Mismatch among Professional Graduates of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration: Basis for Curriculum Enhancement

Abstract
This study intended to identify the reasons why professional graduates leads to Job Mismatch and to determine the competencies that should be improved and strengthened. The researcher used quantitative research design wherein survey questionnaires are used and distributed online. The researcher also used the online interview with one of the HR Personnel of a private company thru Facebook. This study was conducted for the professional graduates specifically to the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration graduates. There was a total of 7 respondents who answered the distributed questionnaires online using google forms that is within our reach. Frequency weighted mean and percentage were used in the statistical analysis. Analysis of the results shows that some graduates didn’t acquire well the competencies taught in schools. Though, these competencies were useful and important in getting a job because almost all the learnings, general subjects and major subjects became applicable to the jobs. It is significant for the school to continue teaching general competencies that the students can acquire during their college because it is the most useful knowledge and skill that an applicant must have. The result also showed that the companies put a specific person in another position with or without connection from the graduate course, because they believed that training is the key and educational background is not a hindrance in doing a good job.
