Abstract
A shelter is one of the basic necessities of a human being. As the world’s population continues to increase, so does the demand for places to live in. People, since the beginning of time, have chosen to live in places where they feel safe and secure to ensure their survival.
This project aims to cater to the needs of middle-class families who are wanting to acquire a good shelter and to help resolve the prevalent cases of inadequate housing as brought by the rapid increase in population. This will be realized by developing a well-designed residential community to protect future residents from threats due to fortuitous events and overconsumption of natural resources. Thus, a subdivision composed of houses that are of good quality, supported with a negotiable insurance and is set within a safe ground will satisfy the families who would choose to occupy the units. The standards for this housing project should be met and gratified to provide an assurance of a full-functioning house for the future residents.
All throughout the development of residential communities, there are different types of houses such as bungalow, two- storey houses and adjacent houses that are designed in order to consider the financial capability and capacity of the future owners. As the environment goes through its highly critical state, architects and design experts have worked to make the designs of the houses adaptive to nature including its relevant contemplations in order to conform to the green building standards. Additionally, the subdivision provides a multipurpose hall designed with basic facilities to accommodate various occasions.
The project is located at Baragay Isabang, Lucena City and has a near distance to the Eco Tourism Road, and is adjacent to the front area of Scuola Gesu Bambino School. The researcher chose this location to develop this proposed subdivision because of the strategic location. First, and foremost the location connects to the Eco Tourism Road which is near the Doctors Hospital. Groceries, a gasoline station, commercial buildings, school, resorts and different facilities that are at the center of economic developments are situated closely to the proposed site of the residential unit to be developed. These factors are considered to be highly favorable to buyers who will be drawn to reside in this particular location.
