Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of compensation on employee performance as perceived by the selected Security Personnel in Lucena City. This study was guided by research objectives which are to establish the methods used to determine employee?s compensation of the selected Security Personnel in Lucena City, and to establish the methods used to determine the (1) demographic profile of the respondents in terms of gender, civil status, number of children, status of employment, number of years in service, educational attainment, and monthly income. (2) Compensation Packages available in the Security Personnel. (3) and the extent to which direct compensation, indirect compensation, and incentives influence employees performance of the selected Security Personnel in Lucena City. The researchers utilized descriptive-correlative method to determine the effect of compensation to the employee performance as perceived by the selected security agencies. The researchers used descriptive research design through structured questionnaire, survey, and job evaluation to gather relevant data and to measure the employee performance adapted from compensation, and also the comparative method to feature the differences of the effect of compensation to the employee performance as perceived by the selected security personnel in Lucena City. The statistical tools percentage and weighted mean were utilized to analyze the quantitative data. The respondents of this study are composed of 4 security agencies in Lucena City. This study seeks the outcome if there is an effect of compensation to employee performance as perceived by the selected Security Personnel in Lucena City.
