Design of Water Distribution System at Barangay Dapdap, Tayabas City
Area of Research
Abstract
It is essential to provide the sufficient and uniform quantity of water through the designed distribution system and network of pipes in order to supply the water demand of the growing population. The general features of the location like information about the main water source, population of the locale, demand of water, requirement of the pumps, distribution network and water tanks are essential for efficient design for the development of water distribution system. The issues which have been identified the problems was based on the situation of the community are the increasing number of population, the demand for potable water source of the locale, developing the existing distribution system to better the allocation of water to the households. The proponent introduced certain developmental practices according to the appropriate study. The researcher used the research and design for the development of the project study which leads to the improved overall sustainability of water distribution system. This project study is focused on the design of water distribution system in subject locality. An alternative way to design has been developed which employs a modified water system distribution analysis techniques and utilizes formal modification techniques from the developed plans and layout to ensure the maximum uniformity in supply. The conventional approach to water distribution system analysis was described appropriately for simulating conditions of water shortage. The development required to design such conditions have been identified and incorporated into a modified development analysis.
