Use of Sample Lesson Plan with Integration of Tiklos and Ba-Ingles in Science 4

Abstract

This study was conducted for the purpose of validating and enhancing the sample lesson plan with Tiklos and Ba-Ingles integrated in Science 4. The lesson plan was utilized in two sections of grade four in the Don Gregorio C. Yumul Sr. Elementary School in Lopez, Quezon. Both the control and the experimental groups comprised twenty-five students each, or a total of fifty students. Forty teachers composed of twenty science and twenty MSEP teachers evaluated and validated the sample lesson plan in Science 4 with the integration of Tiklos and Ba-Ingles. The study revealed that almost half of the teacher-respondents who validated the lesson plan have units in the master’s program and majority of them have been in the teaching profession for at least eleven years, were TII to MT II. In terms of the acceptability of the sample lesson plan, it was considered highly acceptable by the group of evaluators. The study revealed that there is a significant difference between the pretest and posttest results of the experimental and control groups which means that students taught using the sample lesson plan in Science 4 with the integration of Tiklos and BaIngles significantly performed better in the posttest than those students that were taught using the conventional method of teaching. The posttest result of the experimental group is higher than the posttest result of the control group, which implies that the use of integration of Tiklos and Ba-Ingles on selected topics in Science 4 is acceptable and very effective.
