Status of first aid facilities of public High Schools in the division of Lucena

Abstract
The study use the descriptive survey research method an attempt to know what the status of first aid
facilities in the Division of Lucena. In addition the study tried to evaluate what is the current condition of the school
first aid room and the capability of the first aider also the assessment of the students on their school clinic. The
research was conducted in the public high school in the division of Lucena City. The respondents of the study were
100 students enrolled in the SY 2014 – 2015 who were randomly selected by the researcher. The study utilized
questionnaire / opinionairre to gather data from the respondents. The collected data were treated statistically using
standard statistical tools. The result of the study revealed that many of the students were female, and the
distributions of year level are equal. The data shows that first aid equipment’s are limited, availability of medicines
are limited and the first aid supplies are available. First aid room or school clinic has adequate and suitable for the
needs of the students and first aider is qualified to assist in giving first aid. Based on the responses given by the
students 43 of them had been in their school clinic and assist them properly.
