Abstract

"Human resource departments hold the record of the employees in the organization including personal information, leave records, salary information, employee application information, and job information. Forms were used to collect leave request. In old human resource process, they were used to track data on paper and spreadsheets and it takes time to manage record properly, also, it’s a time consuming activity for human resource administrator. The scenario will results to poor sharing of information and slow access of data, hard to locate files, and become inefficient way of maintaining and keeping records. During reporting period, human resource employee encountered hard data searching because of different storage of employee data. Nowadays, web interaction is very useful, efficient and the simplest way to communicate. Employee can use their own device such as mobile, tablet, and personal computer to transact, manage, and review their profile anytime without the need to consult personally to the human resource office. Line managers can instantly check pending request and approve leave. It depends on the Line Manager whether the leave application is approved or rejected. The Human Resource Information System for Open IT is a tool for managing employee records. The system was specifically designed for the needs of Open IT Human Resource Department. The system will act as a record holder of all employees and convert the manual process to computerize system. The system not only covered the employee databases but also the automation of leave application to the entire employee. The system can be accessed through the Internet environment. The employee could use the system through their laptop, mobile gadget or android phones during office hours or even after their duty, when they are at home, or in some place as long as they are connected to the internet."
