Abstract

Jay Mark A. Mantala, Romdy M. Mascarina, and Jennina Alyssa M. Puyal. Prototype Design of Water Level SMS Monitoring System. Unpublished Project Study for the Degree Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, College of Engineering, Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation, Lucena City, February 2015. Having a lack device of spreading information’s in terms of having a flood or increasing the level of water is one of the reason why communities are having a hard time to evacuate or to escape in the area. This study focuses on the prototype design of a Prototype Design of Water Level SMS Monitoring System that automatically send data to the recipients and give feedback to those who will inquire. This research and development investigate the efficiency, functionality and effectiveness of the system. Source of data for the research includes books; publish papers, evaluation as well as the internet. The prototype is a designed to send via SMS the water level of the located area with the use of MCU and GSM module shield which also gives alarm and indicator if there is telecommunication problems, It also gives feedback to the inquirer who wants to know the water level. As for the effectiveness on the system, the system must have a person who will be in charge of changing, adding and deleting the recipients, deleting memory in the sim card and also who will maintained the cleanliness of the tube and the safety-ness of the system. The result of the evaluation indicates the satisfactory of the criterion. In the overall evaluation of the prototype, almost all the respondents strongly agree that the system is functional based of the survey and questionnaires conducted by the researchers.
