Abstract

Peterson John De los Reyes, Bryan Kirvy Par, Princess Airah Pren and Marco Paulo Verzo. SMS based car immobilization system. Unpublished Project Study for the degree Bachelor of science in Computer Engineering, College of Engineering, Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation, Lucena City, Febuary 2013. Automated security, an innovation that help our world in providing new ways of preventing intrusions on various fields, transforming real-time work to a stress free effort. Adapting in different kinds of services, one common example is the Short Message Service (SMS). The main purpose of our study is to provide the users extended assurance on their car security systems This document focuses on the development of an “SMS based car immobilization system”. The research and development is concerned on preventing unwanted intrusion on a specific vehicle by adding an SMS security features which can disable the vehicle’s ignition system and as well as providing improvements on the current alarm system of the said vehicle. Source of data for the research includes books, publish papers, evaluation as well as the internet. The project’s findings list the discoveries on the components of the prototype. The designing and development of the study was accomplished due to an effective research on other institutions, reliable internet sources and combine principles and theories that the researchers learned from the institution. Recommendations sighted the things to be done for the improvement of the study such as a voice recognition systems and reduction of the project’s size.
