Abstract

Arvie A. Angagan, Kervin Rex C. Batocabe, and Gerwin Z. Quejano, “Prototype Design of Automated Coin Change Dispensing Machine”. Unpublished Project for the degree Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering, College of Engineering, Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation, March 2015 In the society one factor considered to be a problem is changing large amount of bills for payment in different transactions especially in public transportation terminals by giving their costumers of accurate change for their large amount of payment. The goal of this study is to provide the people with the machine capable of helping to change paper bill to coins easily. Research and development was implemented in the study for the purposed of finding ways of developing already existing design of previous studies resulting to an increase of quality of operation through the application of different technological advancement. The study consists of bill acceptor, Gizduino X V2.0 (Atmega1281), coin dispenser that composed of servomotor and cylindrical storage of coins for the purposed of dispense of coins and powered by a supply voltage of a regulated 5V DC and 12V DC. The liquid crystal display is used to show the choosing parameters with the keypad for inputting data for dispense of coins. These additional features of choosing materials were the one that modified the design and did the automated coin change dispensing machine. The automated coin change dispensing machine’s testing has turn out to be successful especially in terms of accuracy. Most of the respondents agreed that the machine’s functionality, effectiveness and reliability will probably be suited for public use. The following respondents are drivers, passengers and students from the Grand Central Terminal Lucena.
