At present, there are identified upshots and issues relative to the alignment of their current job to the field of information technology as well as the profile of IT-related skills with their current employment. The main objectives of the study is to trace the IT graduates in local and international settings and determine the alignment of their current job to their field and creates a profile of skills and technologies that they use in their work. This study also determine the IT skills and technologies being required by different companies. Nonetheless, match the IT skills that graduates possess to the one required by various companies. Graduates of BSCS and BSIT batch 2009-2011 graduates who have current and previous jobs inline to Information Technology were studied and observed using the descriptive survey method research and questionnaires are the main research instrument used. From the observation it was revealed that significant numbers of employed graduates have career in Software/System Development, Web Design and Development, and IT Technical Support. They utilized skills in Database Management System (DBMS), Web Development, Computer Programming, Technical Support, and Networking. A very minimal number of respondents are applying skills in software engineering, software project management, animation, mobile application development, game development, graphics design, and OS administration. Majority of the skills applied by the graduates in the current curriculum. But, only introductory course are being offered in the curriculum for some IT skills applied particularly in DBMS and Technical Support. The study recommends some points for regular tracer and skills match and inclusion of advance courses, specialization, and courses on emerging IT areas/skills vis-à-vis animation, game development, cloud computing, and mobile application development to make the curriculum more competitive to meet the skills requirement of the industry.
