AN ANALYSIS OF THE PARENTAL STRATEGIES IN THE PREVENTION OF JUVENILE OFFENSES

Completed2024

Abstract

This research examined the complex problem of juvenile deviance, highlighting the vital interaction between parental influence and local contextual factors. Juvenile deviance placed society under a lot of stress, taxing resources, jeopardizing safety, and sustaining cycles of poverty. Targeted interventions were clearly needed to address these complex issues, but previous research frequently ignored the significance of local context- and the parental roles in influencing children's behavior. The main goal of this study was to close this research gap by examining the effects of how parents treat their children, and support networks on juvenile deviance, as well as the significance of family dynamics and parental control. A quantitative approach was used in the study to achieve this. In order to gain a deeper understanding of the experiences and viewpoints of parents, educators, and community stakeholders, quantitative were employed alongside data collection to analyze economic and cultural factors. The use of a quantitative approach was justified as it allowed for a comprehensive understanding of both the complex human experiences and the statistical trends underlying juvenile deviance. This methodology facilitated the creation of customized intervention plans tailored to the unique requirements of various communities. Result of this development show that the 117 parents of Barangay Daungan Mauban Quezon most of them agreed that parents can affect how their children's behavior is shaped, they imitate what they see in their parents as well as those around them. Promoting peaceful societies and justice aligns with parental strategies in preventing juvenile offenses through proactive, fair family and societal guidance.
