“Subject World”: An Educational Game For Grade Two Students”

Abstract
The proposed project is an educational game for Grade Two elementary school children which aims to develop their knowledge and competence in three subjects like English, Science, and Mathematics through gaming activities. Hence, the title of this proposed educational game is “Subject World” because it covers subjects with their respective worlds called “English World,” “Science World” and “Math World.”
As an educational game, the proposed project is not only designed to improve the learning skills and encourage of the target school children in the said curriculum subjects (English, Science and Mathematics), the game has also been developed to support the practice of information in the educational setting.
Thus, by developing this software, the proponents aim to help in disseminating educational information and promote selflearning among Grade Two students.
Since there are many computer games available in the world, the proponents decided to base and adopt the easy-to-play game interface of globally popular 2D adventure game called “Super Mario.”
Moreover, although there are numerous educational games developed at present, the researchers believe that “Subject World” will provide the most entertaining and newest flow of educational information for school children through computer-aided instruction.
