Abstract

Women seafarers face a lot of challenges with their employment and participations. The primary reason the researchers conducted this study is to determine the problem and identify the factors affecting women seafarers regarding their employment and participation in the maritime industry. Also, how this study could help future women seafarers be knowledgeable upon entering a male-dominant job. the maritime industry. It utilized the quantitative-descriptive method of research. The locale of this was the Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) under the department of College of Maritime Education (CME). There are one-hundred fifty-one (421) Bachelor of Marine Transportation (BSMT) students, with a total of 572 students in the maritime department. The researchers randomly selected one hundred fifty (150) respondents from BSMT and BSMAR-E. The research instrument was conducted through the platform Google Forms to lessen the expenses for the printing process and be paperless. This study will be beneficial to students, women seafarers, the maritime industry, and future researchers.
