PERCEIVED IMPACT OF DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS ON THE CAREER ASPIRATIONS OF GEN Z MARITIME STUDENTS IN QUEZON PROVINCE

Abstract
This study determined the perceived impact of disciplinary actions that Gen Z maritime students in Quezon Province received and their career choieces anf future goals. Quantitaitve-descriptive was used to emplore the perceived affect of disciplinary measures. Questionnaires were administered to Gen Z Maritime students to identify disciplinary actions, career choices, and future goals. The respondents that answered the questionnaires were limited to 254 students through purposive sampling. Weighted mean was utilized for analysis. Results showed the prevalence of disciplinary measures due to classroom misbehavior and similarities and slight differences in students' perpectives. Moreover, the findings indicated that disciplinary measures should be appropriate and impact conditions. Although students positively perceive the effects of disciplinary measures on future work trends, the data shows slight differences in students' perceptions. The general results patterns point to the need for just disciplinary measures that make it practical and tie their exercise to students' perspectives.
Therefore, the results implied the need for advanced holistic support for Gen Z maritime students.
