Awareness and Inclination in Securing Insurance Policies Among Working Professionals in a Philippine City

Abstract
This study examines the awareness and inclination toward securing insurance policies
among working professionals in Lucena City, Philippines. Utilizing a sample of 109 respondents,
the research explores demographic factors such as age, sex, civil status, educational
attainment, average monthly income, and occupation to determine their influence on insurance awareness and inclination. The findings show a high level of general knowledge and understanding about insurance, including specific aspects such as policy features, coverage, and payment options. It also reveals that the reputation and stability of insurance companies significantly impact their inclination to secure policies. External influences, like peer recommendations, also play crucial roles. The study highlights the importance of educational initiatives to improve understanding of insurance products. Tailored interventions could foster a more insurance-literate society, benefiting the working population's financial well-being.
