Modification Design of a Soil Digging Bar with Interchangeable Bore Blade

Completed2024

Abstract

The objective of this study is to aid the farmers with the strenuous task of manually creating holes in land in which they farm while also giving ease to the strain it poses on their body and health. The soil digging prototype is develop with the intent of minimizing the operating risks and safeguarding the workers specifically farmers from causing injury to themselves by chance an accident occurs. In order to support the efforts of the researcher to help create an efficient way of performing the tasks of digging holes, the design of the machine-driven prototype was brought into development. The performance of the machine was well received as it efficiently dug holes through a 5-meter plot continuously, the respondents who take turn operating the machine has expressed that the machine has a lot of potential and provides results similar to traditional way but with commendable ease. The researcher's vision for the early prototype is to be a main tool in aiding the farmers in overcoming this necessary process in farming and plant cultivation. The application of the proposed prototype is ideally in farms with which the soil is cultivated and ideal for planting crops and other plants. In view of the fact that the proposed machine dows not require a complicated process of operation, each member of the community specifically the farmers would be able to perform such tasks faster thus resulting in a more efficient workload in the farm. To even propel the advantageous aspect of the prototype, the researchers strive to have a more economical approach in assembling the prototype by using scraps and other resources typically found in our community thus minimizing the cost and maximizing the sustainability of the machine for future uses.
