A Design of A Hybrid System for XYZ Bus Terminal in Lucena City
Area of Research
Abstract
Renewable Energy, Particularly wind and solar. are examples of primary sources of electricity. Solar Solar power and wind power are abundant, making them an extremely
efficient source of energy. Lucena City's bus terminal sits in an open area exposed to
sunlight and wind, perfectly positioned for generation of solar energy and wind energy.
Sufficient illumination at night is essential; without proper illumination, the worst possible
scenarios may occur. The bus station lacks adequate lighting at night and is prone to
accidents due to the high volume of traffic. A high electricity expense is one of the issues
that virtually everyone faces. These issues were identified through site visits, surveys, and in-person interviews. Following the identification of these problems, a thorough analysis of potential solutions revealed that the best approach was to combine wind and solar energy. The design and prototype testing resulted in a more efficient method of capturing energy. The researchers conclude that it can supply the bus terminal's stalls and street lights, resolving the problems identified. The system can power some buildings, but it must be connected to an on-grid system to lower monthly electricity
costs. The system can generate up to 50 kW, making it an efficient source of electricity.
