Role of Discipline Among Criminology Students in their Academic Performance
Area of Research
Abstract
The researchers were spurred by a deep-seated motivation to delve into the
intricate dynamics of discipline within the realm of criminology education, specifically
its impact on the academic performance of students. Their quest was not merely to
scratch the surface but to undertake a comprehensive analysis that would shed light
on the multifaceted role that discipline played in shaping the academic journeys of
criminology students.
This study, driven by an earnest desire for understanding, sought to uncover
the profound relevance of discipline in two crucial dimensions: learning aptitude and leadership prowess within the criminology student community. By doing so, the
researchers aspired to not only quantify the level of discipline exhibited by
criminology students but also to unravel its intricate interplay with their academic
accomplishments.
In pursuit of this ambitious endeavor, the researchers meticulously settled on
the descriptive quantitative method as the cornerstone of their research design. This
approach was selected for its unparalleled capacity to offer a detailed and systematic
portrayal of the subject matter. With an unwavering commitment to precision, the
researchers crafted a comprehensive questionnaire tailored to extract quantifiable
data, ensuring that each response would be a valuable piece of the puzzle.
From the vast pool of potential participants, a discerning eye was cast upon 302 criminology students, meticulously selected to represent a diverse cross-section of the population. This carefully chosen sample size was poised to yield insights that transcended individual experiences, painting a collective portrait of the intricate dance between discipline and academic achievement within the criminology student cohort. Through these rigorous methodologies, the researchers aimed not only to fill a scholarly gap but to elevate the discourse surrounding criminology education to new heights.
