Problems Encountered by the Local Government in the Distribution of Goods During Calamities

Abstract
This study aimed to determine the current practices of the local government in relation to the distribution of relief goods. their current practices, the problems encountered by the local government in terms of relief goods distribution conducted, and to provide an appropriate solution to the problems they encountered during distribution. In conducting the study, a quantitative method was utilized to quantify the results. Moreover, the researchers used the descriptive form in depicting and analysis of the possible collected data. The primary respondents were selected Local Government Employees through purposive sampling, with one hundred thirteen (113) respondents from five (5) Barangays of Lucena City. The following barangays uncluding Brgy. Dalahican with (28) respondents, Brgy. Cotta with (18) respondents, Brgy. Mayao Kanluran with 28 respondents, Brgy. 11 with (15) respondents, and Brgy. 4 with (24) respondents. The respondents were selected based on their experience in recent disasters or calamity, were chosen. The major output of the study was the brochure that contains the specific recommendations/solutions for the problems that they encountered during the distribution. Moreover, the researchers identified that the positive current practices and the implementation of the Omnibus related to the distribution were implemented.
