This research aimed to determine the senior high school student's perceptions of the mandatory ROTC in senior high school student's perception of the mandatory ROTC. The participants of the study were three hundred twenty-three (323) student from the senior high school of Quezon National High School in Lucena City chosen as a sample using stratified random sampling. The researchers' study mainly focused on the awareness of the students regarding the implementation of House bill 8961. The researchers used a descriptive type of research to gather accurate and reliable information and come up with a well-founded result. As for the findings, it shows that all of the respondents are moderately aware of House Bill 8961 as wellas the content or scope of the law itself. Also, the result revealed that the majority of the respondents agree that the mandatory ROTC has positive and negative impacts on students, which is why there are still many students who are not in favor of the implementation of the Mandatory Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC). The students agree that this program still has different cases that negatively affect students. Furthermore, the resesarchers recommend that the most effective method to expand awareness and improve students' perceptions and acceptance of Mandatory Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) is to have an awareness campaign wherein the scope and content of House Bill 8961 must first be well explained and discussed with students through the dissemnination of brochures.
