Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore the experiences of generation X, Y, and Z children with OFW-Parents, specifically experiences in their parent's parenting practices, parental role, and parental involvement. Further, this study will identify the differences in the coping strategies of OFW children when they experience problems and circumstances in life. Lastly, find out the uniqueness of the experiences and their relation to their personality. The study used a qualitative research method and employed an online interview to OFW children. In-depth interview in semi-structured format, with open-ended questions was used to explore the experiences of OFW children, A total of six (6) participants, two(2) each generation, ranging in age from 18-60 years old The interview results and discussion were obtained from the segmented transcript and coded. Through Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis, the collected answers from the interview were evaluated and explained, and themes were identified. The conclusion's were made from the result of the study on the experience of generation X,Y and Z children with OFW-Parents.
