Household Pets as Coping in time of Pandemic

Abstract
The study aims to explore the topic of the PHenomenology of Having a Pet as Coping in time of Pandemic, the data that is going to be gathered is about Having a Pet as Poing in time of Pandemic and the participants' experiences in having a pet, also exploring the influence of pet as coping mechanism as well as the impact it has on intrapersonal and interpersonal relationships which will give information and knowledge to many that will be helpful to people like future researchers and the community. The early parts of the study will be addressing the background of the study which is regarding having a pet as coping in time of pandemic itself to give information to other that may not be familiar with it in order to fully understand the whole study itself. The participants that will be chosen for this study are 4th Year Psychology students that have household pets. This study utilized a descriptive qualitative Research Design due to its nature of having the participants' experience of a certain phenomenon easily explained. The researcher used a unstructured interview as the mean to gather data. During the time of pandemic, the researcher assumes that having a pet as coping in time of pandemic can be one of the possible ways to improve the daily lives of people which will be beneficial for many. The results of the study provide the much needed data for establishing the webinars and programs about pets as coping and their effect on people.
