Abstract

The study aimed to explore the lived experiences of parents or guardian with children locked during the quarantine implementation for the Covid-19 Pandemic: The study used a qualitative method, specifically a Phenomenological research approach. The study used a qualitative method, specifically a Phenomenological research approach, to understand the experiences of the parents or guardians in rearing their children during the pandemic in terms of their, encounters during quarantine, coping strategies, parental responsibilities of them as a parent or guardian, as well as to explore their observation of the impact of the pandemic on their children's social, emotional, physical, and behavioral aspects of well-being as perceived by the parents or guardians. Lastly, their views on the future in light of this pandemic. The participant was the Guardian or Parents of the children who are already at their school age 6-13 years old. The researcher collected data fromthe individuals through an interview method. The gathered data information was analyzed using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA), and the essential statements that are aligned with the objectives and purpose of the study were investigated and sorted into codes and themes. The researcher selected participants using a purposive sampling approach. Participants for the study must be Parent and Guardians with children under the age of 6-13 years old and residing in Lucena City, Quezon. The study's finding were used to develop an output program or training module to raise awareness and information, So, in addition to the possible community-protective benefits of in the case of quarantine, the vulnerability of quarantined children and parents or guardians must be assessed.
