STAIN OF THE ART: Perceived Parenting Styles and Approaches of Parents with Tattoos
Abstract
This study focused on the parenting styles and approaches of parents with tattoos, and their
experiences including the stigma that surrounds people with tattoos. The study will utilize a nonprobability sampling design wherein all the participants recruited in the procedure will be chosen
based on the research study rather than random selection. The participants will consist of four to
five (3-5) couples and parents who experience being stereotyped for their tattoos and as a parent.
For the qualitative data that will be acquired, the researcher will apply the thematic analysis to
evaluate the information obtained from the data gathered. The responses of the participants will
be examined to obtain important verbalizations that generally represented what was typical
among the participants' views and experiences. The cumulative meanings of major statements
will be analyzed and sorted into codes and themes. The themes that will be developed would be identified as precisely as possible in order to maintain the integrity and trustworthiness of the
data that is being aimed.
