Level of Neuroticism (N) and Coping Mechanism among Student Amidst COVID-19 Pandemic

Abstract
The study aimed to investigate the relationship between the level of neuroticism and
coping mechanism among the students amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Specifically, the
study addressed the following; know the demographic profile of the students, identify the
levels of the neuroticism of the students, determine the coping mechanism of the students, investigate the significant difference on the level of neroticism when grouped according to demographic profile of the student, and to investigate the significant difference on the coping mechanism of the students,investigate the significant difference on the level of neuroticism when grouped according to demographic profile of the student, and to investigate the significant difference on the coping mechanism of the students when grouped according to demographic profile of the student. The study used correlational research, and a total of 210 students participated in the study. The result of the study revealed that there is a high correlation between the level of neutoticism and coping mechanisms among students of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation amidst the pandemic. Although neroticism among the students was not linked to their demographic profile, it was shown that coping mechanisms betweek genders (in this study male and female) differ. COping mechanisms in terms of age, year llevel, and the course also did not show and correlation to the coping mechanisms of the college students.
