Analysis on the Level of Awareness and Participation of Indigenous People in the Local Governance of Infanta, Quezon

Abstract
This study aims to analyze the level of awareness and participation of indigenous
people in the local governance of Infanta, Quezon. It specifically seeks to know the
respondents’ sources of information on local governance, level of awareness on local
governance, level of political participation in terms of voting and campaigning, assembly
and consultations, local government project implementation, and the factors affecting
their level of political participation in terms of political, economic and socio-cultural
aspects. Using mixed methods, the respondents will be purposively selected. The
survey and questionnaire interview will be administered online due to health and safety
protocols. The data collected will be analyzed using Likert scale for the survey and
thematic coding for the interview.
