Abstract

The purpose of this research is to evaluate how well the municipal government of San Francisco, Quezon has protected the Celebes Maru Sanctuary. It aims primarily to determine efficacy and provide fresh approaches. The Celebes Maru fish sanctuary is a protected location that can be used for future researches. The fish sanctuary's distinctive qualities include creating jobs and a tourism destination for the local community. Using a purposive sampling to gather data, the 100 residents of San Francisco, Quezon will be selected. The survey will be managed online to gather date for the study. The study's findings were also utilised to develop policy suggestions for improving the local government's conservation programme, initiatives, and participation. According to the study, the respondents are quite knowledgeable about the administrative measures taken locally to protect the Celebes Maru. According to the comments, it is clear that the administrative fines and sanctions imposed for employing pyrotechnics, poison, and power fishing in the Celebes Maru region are the things that respondents are most aware of. The adoption of by local governments was also demonstrated by the results, which indicated that all three solutions were deemed to be generally effective. Despite this, the table also shows that they think its implementation is the least successful in terms of the chaos in the fishing community. In addition, obstacles to their implementation are still seen to exist notwithstanding their success and the perceived knowledge of the public.
