Abstract

This study aimed to examine the peer pressure on the body image of young adults in the CIHTM Department of MSEUF. This is a quantitative study that uses the Descriptive survey. The three-part survey included the demographic profile of respondents, peer pressure on body image, as well as frequent problems and obstacles encountered in peer pressure on body image and analyzes common difficulties in peer pressure on body image employing a Likert scale to score the response and collect the data for the study. The study uses random sampling to select respondents; the questionnaires were converted to Google Forms and sent to respondents through Email or Messenger. The data collected were statistically analyzed to describe the variable relationship, according to the weighted average mean of the Likert scale, peer pressure had an impact on the respondents. This illustrates how common negative peer pressure is and how friends' comments about a person's appearance can contribute to the development of a negative body image. It also showed that the majority of respondents think that their body image is one of their insecurities. which may also be utilized to create a Groups Dynamics module that assist peers in recognizing the pros and downsides of what they are doing about young people's impression of body image. The researcher believes that this study raises awareness of the issue while motivating young folks not to be concerned about their physical form.
